"Er is altijd wel een of andere gek die je helpt duwen", zei mijn neef Wim Coolen toen ik met een bakfiets met glas en ladder, vanaf de werkplaats op het Stratumseind, over deze bult naar twee Tivolie scholen moest om wat ruiten te herstellen. In 1956 werkte ik bij schildersbedrijf Wim Coolen en dat bruggetje leek toen met een zware bakfiets een berg. Inderdaad, er was altijd wel iemand die me hielp met duwen.
